Ourense is the city of water par excellence. Up to eight bridges cross the Minho River, which was a gold mine in Roman times. There is no more gold, but there are hot springs that spring at more than 65º and are very valuable.

Enjoy a Zen bath in one of the many hot springs (many of them free) that are scattered throughout the city, such as the A Chavasqueira hot springs, the As Burgas spring, the Roman bridge or the amazing Ourense Cathedral. Don't forget to visit the original Grand Place... or the most amazing crib you've ever seen in the chapels of San Cosmas and San Damiano.
