In 1948, it began its journey in the town of Griñón as a teacher training center. In 1970, it moved its headquarters to its current location in Aravaca (Madrid), and since 1978, its degrees have been attached to the Autonomous University of Madrid, through which it grants recognized and official university degrees. To its traditional offer of degrees university courses in the different specialties of Teaching, progressively adding others such as Social Education and Occupational Therapy, as well as Postgraduate training. In the 2002-2003 academic year, it incorporates second-cycle studies in Psychopedagogy and thus obtains its current category of Higher Center for University Studies Currently, for the development of three large areas of knowledge: Educational Sciences, Health Sciences and other de Gestión y Tecnología, relies on its accumulated experience and institutional presence on five continents. The knowledge and its extensive formative journey has allowed the Superior Center to be attentive to what knowledge to teach and how to teach it. The methodological renewal is continuous and it constantly investigates and experiments with new ways to promote more effective, lasting and valid learning for future situations that students will find themselves. Among its hallmarks is its Christian inspiration, within a proposal free, current and receiving the faith-culture dialogue and the contrast of social values, where a humanist and scientifically rigorous training is provided, contextualized and open to the future. Dedicated to university education for more than 60 years, it is part of of an international network with 350 years of experience, presence in 82 countries, 73 Universities and Business Schools and one million students.
